Ms. Alma is such a wonderful teacher. She was very encouraging to my 13 year old daughter. My daughters confidence and technique has improved dramatically. With this new found confidence she was more comfortable to sing solo in front of our church congregation. Miss Alma incorporated many different exercises and techniques to improve the posture and strength to allow better control. She was also very quick to respond to any questions or messages. We love Alma’s Vocal Academy and Ms Alma! She’s such a patient teacher and super knowledgeable. My son looks forward to piano and has really enjoyed being able to learn to compose music. The app that she uses is so awesome and they learn to play so quickly. The group setting is also nice for socializing with kids that enjoy music as much as my son does. We are so happy to have her here on Marinai and we will definitely miss her at our next duty station!

Studio was clean, organized and a great learning environment. We were a bit concerned with the pandemic but we need not have been concerned. Ms. Alma had great protocols put in place to protect our children. My daughter learned so much in her short time there and if Ms. Alma hadn't moved, we would have stayed with her longer. I highly recommend!

Ms. Alma was so encouraging! Alma made sure my boys ( age 13 and 11) learned at their pace and made sure they understood before they moved on to the next piece. They played with confidence because of her. Ms. Alma has a lot of patience and is so helpful. She understands that each child is an individual and all learn differently. Alma is a knowledgeable, energetic and fun teacher who imparts good techniques and at the same time instills a lifelong appreciation of music. She is extremely professional and responsive yet warm in her communication style. I certainly recommend her to any one who has always wanted to learn piano or how to work the voice. I've been seeing Ms. Alma for classical singing lessons for over a year now, one lesson a week, and I am very happy with my results. She is one truly great teacher - for beginning singers with little experience, to professionals who need coaching. She shines where many music teachers fall flat - I often found with other lessons, you are taught techniques with little context for them, and you are shown scales you will not end up using in or outside of the lessons. That's not what you will get with Ms. Alma - her "curriculum" is very flexible, whether for contemporary music or classical singing, everything you learn, you will be able to use in your practice as a singer. I will always favor her classical singing lessons.

After one month of lessons with Ms. Alma, my voice grew tremendously. She has an ear for music and knows how her students should sing with proper techniques for songs and exercises. I believe that she has a passion for what she does and wants to see all of her students excel. She doesn't just show you an exercise, but explains why you are doing it. Alma is absolutely brilliant. Not only does she make singing fun, her years of experience shows when I'm training with her. My son needed help to hit high notes. He was not using the correct technique of breathing. Alma help Josue a lot she teached him how to breath and his singing has improve since he is with her. Alma has been giving my grand daughter vocal lessons and I have seen such an improvement in her ability to express herself. My Grand daughter was shy and very quiet like a mouse. Alma has been able to encourage and teach her the proper vocal techniques and the transformation has been extremely noticeable.
